    Class details are as follows:

Mini Babies

(0 - 15 mths)

Parents and carers sing with their babies on the floor and on their laps, and interact with actions and movement.  They also learn to

recognise different sounds by being exposed to a variety of percussion instruments. The aim is to share some fun and stimulating time with your baby.

Mini Toddlers

(15 mths-2 1/2 yrs)

Mini Movers

(2 1/2-5 yrs)

The Toddler and Movers sessions involve singing action songs, moving to music and experimenting with different sounds and percussion instruments. Musical elements are incorporated to include pulse/beat, rhythm, tempo (fast and slow) and dynamics (loud and quiet).

A hands-on approach allows the children to play and experiment with a variey of instruments. Each half term is topic-based and we use lots of related props, such as ribbon sticks, pop up puppets and soft toys to name but a few.

Each session usually ends with a moment or two to listen to a wide variety of music. For the older children this helps to improve listening skills and to develop imagination, whilst stimulating a rewarding response from the babies.

Mini is present in every class allowing the children to feel at ease and to encourage participation. After a lively session Mini says goodbye until next time with a wave and a hug, leaving the children feeling calm and contented.
